I have been an awful blogger I know. It's been too long since my last post. All of you Tristan junkies out there must be having serious withdrawal. I'veadded new pictures to the "watch me grow" album on the right, as well as the Tristan 2008 album. There's also a new picture of my cutie at the top of this blog. Hopefully this gets me a few brownie points. Don't forget you can click on an image to see a larger version of it.
So my grandparents came to visit. They were so in love with Tristan and the feeling was mutual. Nana was so good at cuddling him in the rocking chair, which he loved. Papa actually got him to fall asleep while he was laying on the couch.
Tim and I were impressed. We haven't mastered that skill yet. It was such a nice visit. It meant so much that Tristan got to spend that time with his great grandparents.
Tristan has started scooching. He lays on his stomach with his butt way up in the air and stretches his legs out really fast and hard. We have to put our hand against his feet to give him something to push against so he can move. He can't support his upper body too well yet so he face-plants the whole way. He's getting rug burn on his cheek. Oh yeah, he grunts like he's straining to poop. It's the funniest thing. But he is so happy to be moving.
We are in the midst of our first big snow storm of the season. I took these pictures just two hours after it started. We are supposed to get 8-12 inches before it's all over. It's Tristan's first real snow. We had some a few weeks ago, but it wasn't much and he was sleeping during it so I couldn't get a picture. He was such a trooper for this one. He just hung out with Daddy in the snow. Didn't even fuss. How cute is he in his winter hat and gloves? The gloves are pretty big for him - they look like oven mitts.
Since the weather has gotten colder I've been looking for shoes to help keep Tristan's feet warm. It's been a bit of a challenge because he has fat feet. Most shoes don't fit him. I found these cute leather shoes at Target. He seems to like them. At least there wasn't any screaming. He likes to admire them as you can see. I think he likes the elephants. Well I am off to bed. I need to get as much sleep as possible to keep up with my little booger.
Love,

What an adorable picture of Tim and Tristan out in the snow. Papa and Nana look so very content holding that little guy. How can you not be with Tristan.
